Three Days Pedagogy based training 

at
 Govt. In-service training centre Patiala

GISTC Patiala

There is three days Pedagogy teacher training seminars organized by Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan in collaboration with American India Foundation Trust. These three days teacher seminars are organized at Govt. In-service training centre Patiala with full co-operation of GISTC Faculty members.

There is three days seminar of Hindi, Punjabi, Math and Science subject teachers. Approximately 250 tentative teachers of each subject in Patiala district which include Govt., semi Govt. & aided schools. There are total 14 batches of teachers blockwise & subjectwise & these batches start from 15^th July 2013 to 8^th August 2013. 

AIF trainers S. Rajinder Singh and Ms. Sapna Menon have conducted the trainings and delivered the sessions on Technology and Pedagogy throughout the three days Pedagogy based seminars.

Content covered under Pedagogy seminars is as:

1.     Warm-up session –Activities covered BINGO, Self-portrait, DML.

 

2.      Setting the stage 3 sessions: Case study of a teacher, Brain Based Learning, Self Esteem.

3. Technology(Computer Training): PowerPoint Presentations(Insert Images, Voice Recording, Animation etc..), Internet(Search animated images, content, Send mail etc..).

4. Critical Thinking 3 sessions: See, Think & Wonder(STW), 1H4W, Six levels of thinking, Low Order thinking and Higher order thinking questions.

5. Creative Thinking 3 sessions: Blocks of Creativity, 4 Aspects of Creativity,  Brain Storming, Encouraging and Inhibiting adults.

6. Collaborative Learning 3 sessions: Three types of behaviors ( Aggressive, Assertive & Submissive), Case Studies(Role Play), Difference between Collaborative learning and Group learning.

Assignment:

One PowerPoint Presentation with Lesson Plan including  pedagogy activities like Bingo, STW etc..

Time Duration to completer assignment: 1 month

Feedback of teachers:

Teachers find the training very useful & equipped with good quality activities & tools like Bingo, STW, Aspects of Creativity, Collaborative learning etc.. 

Teacher enjoy the seminars & shown equivalent participation in group. Technology part was for half day but they utilize the time given for technology computer training.
